Just wondering who everyone thinks the best players by position are across the state? Here are some of my votes:
OH - Nicole Smith (Page), Maddy Hudson (Ravenwood), Kayln Helton (Red Bank),
MB - Maddy Hudson (Ravenwood)
S - Setter from Independence

i would definitely say watch out for Courtney Lawson - she played setter/hitter for Choo Choo City and tore it up.

as for younger players, i've seen Molly Locke, Alyssa Ivey, and Stephanie play for Impact 15 Blue and they look to be strong players at any level of competition. also the libero on that team (can't remember her name) will be a good player as well....i think i saw her play last year at Father Ryan

i don't know what you are talking about! Kayln from Choo Choo City can only hit line with her D1 swing. easy to block if you can get over the net! Nicole Smith is straight dirty though. mass respect!

I believe her name is "Kalyn" and she has more than just the downline shot their setter7. Nicole is definitely a force to be respected but my cousin is going to tear it up as well.

Ashton, setter for Impact 15 Lime led her team to silver championship at regionals. She is young, sophomore at NCS, but a very strong player.

After watching a bunch of volleyball, here are my selections by position and in order of how I think they should be ranked...feel free to disagree and please give your reasoning (please remember that I have not seen EVERYONE play, so this list is definitely incomplete)
SETTERS Jamie Rutledge (Dobyns Bennett) Kristie Hughes (Independence) Courtney Lawson (Red Bank) Alyssa Ivey (Ravenwood)
OUTSIDE HITTERS Madeline Hudson (Ravenwood) Nicole Smith (Page) Kalyn Helton (Red Bank) Hillary Gray (Dobyns Bennett) Hitter from BGA - can't remember her name or number, but was impressed with her the 1 match I saw her play
MIDDLE BLOCKERS Meredith Hardy (Dobyns Bennett) Meredith Richardson (Ravenwood) Caroline Carlton (Independence)

I agree with most of your lists, but what about liberos/defensive specialists?

wow, great point....sorry about that. well off the top of my head, I would have to give the nod to these liberos/DSs, but to be completely honest, I have not watched closely enough to speak intelligently. Here is who has impressed me at different times this year.....
Libero: Independence Libero - sorry I don't know her name SBA libero - again, I apologize for not knowing her name Bailey Lyness - Red Bank
any thoughts? who am I missing?

Independence Libero is Morgan Murphy. She's a junior, but she didn't play last year. She has played a few years of club ball.

Brooke Faulkner from Siegel is a good outside DB's setter is really good--Rutledge Devine from DB Siegel's Libero is awful good to.

I am just saying. Harpeth High has a new coach and a few players that may very well push their program over the top. Molley Locke is a very good player for Page but this may be Harpeth's year to force Page outside looking in when it comes to State. Bad thing is 3 of the teams in your top 6 play each other and one will be left out. CPA,Page and Harpeth. Magan Hasse is a beast of an outside hitter and Rebecca Burnett will be back from injury this year. She had 57 non returnable serves and played only 1/3 of the season last year.
